The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an educational seminar next week on coming changes in healthcare because of the Affordable Care Act.
The session will take place from 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. next Wednesday, September 18th, at The Oaks Steakhouse. There is no fee to attend, but registration is necessary by calling the Chamber at (563) 382-3990, emailing kristina@decorahareachamber.com or going online to www.decorahareachamber.com and clicking on "Events."
The workshop is being presented in partnership with Lentz & Associates of Calmar. Jesse Patton of Association Marketing Group will present information about the Affordable Care Act, changes coming in 2014, what to expect from the new rules for small groups (less than 50 employees) and what employers of 50 or more employees should expect. Rod Drenkow of Advantage Administrators will present on defined contribution solutions.
Patton is the founder of Association Marketing Group in Des Moines and current member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Drenkow is the founder of Advantage Administrators, which serves over 650 businesses in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and 11 other states.
