"Is Google Making Us Stupid?"

Luther College has announced that author Nicholas Carr will visit campus next February.

Carr is best known for writing an article in "The Atlantic Monthly" titled "Is Google Making Us Stupid? What the Internet is doing to our brains"

The 2008 article argued that the Internet has diminished the capacity for concentration and contemplation.  (The article, despite its title, discussed the Internet as a whole, and not specifically Google)

Carr followed up the article by expanding his theories and publishing a book in 2010 called "The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains."

Luther College officials say Carr will be on campus February 6th.
