New map highlights renewable energy projects in Winneshiek County

The Winneshiek Energy District has created a map to highlight renewable energy in Winneshiek County.

Solar prices have dropped over the past few years, making it a better and better investment. Many homes and businesses have installed solar in the past two years. The map includes some basic information and a photo of all the featured systems and in some cases a link to live data that shows the current real time production of the system.

Property owners who have their own solar energy systems can add information to the map by using the "add my system" feature.  You can find the map online at: http://tools.energydistrict.org/rmap/#
