Water Street Music Series to kick off its second season

The Water Street Music Series has announced details of its second season. Concerts will include folk, classical, and jazz genres and will be presented in locations ranging from the Trout Run Trailhead to T-Bocks to the Steyer Opera House.

The season will open with an outdoor concert/dance, "On the Water with Foot-Notes" Saturday, September 7th, at the Trout Run Trailhead on the west end of Main Street.  Dance lessons will be given at 6:30 p.m. for those new to Foot-Notes, with the concert/dance itself beginning at 7:00 p.m. The concert is non-ticketed with a freewill donation.

Other fall concerts include "Bach, Beethoven, and Beer" in the newly-renovated T-Bocks Upstairs and "Shakespeare in Song and Sound" wtih Kristen Underwood and Luther College professors Kate Narveson, Brooke Joyce, Kathy Reed and their students.

Spring concerts include a "Crazy Love" Valentines Day variety show, a special "Salon Series" in March in various Decorah homes and a collaborative jazz performance at the Steyer Opera House in April featuring Luther College jazz professor, trumpeter Jon Ailabouni.
