Body of 16-year-old Decorah girl found at the bottom of a Palisades Park cliff

Decorah Police are investigating the death of a Decorah girl.

The body of 16-year-old Kellie Sharp was found shortly after 8:00 Friday night at the bottom of a cliff in Palisades Park.

Decorah Police say their investigation is ongoing into the official cause of death of Sharp.  The State of Iowa Medical Examiner's Office is performing an autopsy.

Decorah Police were assisted Friday night by the Decorah Fire Department, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Iowa State Patrol and Winneshiek Medical Center paramedics.
