Posted: Tue, Aug 20, 2013 6:10 PM

1994 Decorah High School graduate Logan Tjossem will go on a 25.5 mile hike this Saturday in memory of his son, Kaden, and to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research

Tjossem will be joined by two friends who also lost their sons to cancer.  The trio will hike 25.5 miles of the Superior Hiking Trail.

Tjossem will spend up to 16 hours trekking the hills, valleys and roots of the Superior Hiking Trail, all to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.  He will be joined by outdoor enthusiasts, avid hikers, and folks who are just trying to lose a few pounds while helping a good cause.

"Kaden's spirit and positive attitude may help lead to a cure so that one day every child diagnosed with cancer will be guaranteed a cure.  In honor of my son, Kaden, I say, 'Cancer, TAKE A HIKE!" said Tjossem.
