Decorah City Council pay raise issue referred to committee

Should Decorah City Council members and Decorah's mayor be getting pay raises?  That issue was on Monday night's city council agenda for discussion.

But city council members have instead decided to refer the issue to the Personnel Committee.  When the idea first arose in the beginning of August, most city council members said they did not favor the idea.  However, the Personnel Committee will discuss the issue at a meeting Tuesday, September 3rd.
