New Minowa Players presents the 2013 Young People's Production, 13: A New Musical

New Minowa Players is ending its 38th season with a bang at New Minowa Players! The 2013 Young People's Production of 13: A New Musical is August 16-18. In the tradition of Clueless, Mean Girls, and Juno, 13 is a musical about the one thing we never stop doing – growing up.
 
13 is all about making the leap from childhood to the exciting, but frightening adult world that lies beyond. Like kids everywhere, this host of memorable characters suddenly find themselves trying to survive school, navigate cliques, be a part of the right crowd, and be "cool". Their story is told through lively, infectious music and lyrics by Tony award winner Jason Robert Brown, in addition to a thought-provoking, engaging book by Dan Elish.

There's been no show like it on the NMP stage before! 13 is the first all-teen musical to hit Broadway; with its youthful spirit and humor and contagious energy, 13 will have you rocking out in your seats!  This is a musical experience not to be missed! Come and reminisce on what it was like to be 13 – find yourself, and discover that "cool" is sometimes where you least expect it!
 
Production dates for 13: A New Musical will be August 16th and 17th at 7:00 p.m. and August 17th and 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the New Minowa Players Theatre, 906 South Mill Street, Decorah. 

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 children 12 and under. They are available at the Oneota Community Co-op and will also be available at the theatre an hour prior to each performance. 13: A New Musical is sponsored by Oneota Valley Family Eye Care.
