Decorah bookstore kicks off program to donate books to area classrooms

Posted: Wed, Aug 14, 2013 11:36 AM

Dragonfly Books in Decorah is launching a program called "Classroom Wishlist."

With this program for area pre-K -- 12 classes, teachers can create an ongoing wishlist of books for their classrooms.  Dragonfly Books customers then can buy books on the wish list and donate them to the classrooms.  Purchases will qualify for 20 percent off the retail cost.

"We're excited to launch this new program. It's our way to go beyond what we can do as a local bookstore to involve the larger community in support of our schools," says Dragonfly Books owner Kate Rattenborg.
