Posted: Thu, Aug 8, 2013 6:06 PM

Decorah Police and the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department say they have been receiving reports of suspicious activities in the area.

Several people have reported being approached by a man who asked if he could make them a salad.  Police say you should not give out any information to strangers.  You should not allow those individuals in your home and should contact law enforcement immediately.

There have also been reports on someone selling books in the county and asking odd questions regarding young girls in the home.  Police again remind the public not to give out personal information; not to let strangers into the home and to contact the Decorah Police Department at 382-3667 or the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department at 382-4268 to report suspicious behavior.
