Community recreation center discussion will now involve two more potential sites

The Decorah Parks and Recreation Board wants a consulting firm to look at two additional potential sites for a proposed Community Recreation Center in Decorah.  Added to the list as potential sites are the "lower Fareway" parking lot and the #2 softball diamond, both in downtown Decorah.

That brings to nine the potential sites that Design Alliance will study.  A committee of two Park Board members, one City Council member and nine community representatives has been meeting with Design Alliance to review the sites.  The consultants are being asked to pick a preferred location and to draw up sketches and other materials that could be used to promote passage of a referendum to fund the facility.
