An insurance adjuster will be visiting the Decorah Public Library on Wednesday to look at damage from a leaky roof on the old portion of the library building.
Library Director Lorraine Borowski has told city officials that a small part of the library ceiling has come down. She also says it looks likely that the library will have to replace the shingles on the roof of the older portion of the library.
A modern addition was built to the library in 1997, but at that time no work was done on the roof of the original building--the former U.S. Post Office building.
