New Decorah business is selling trout-themed merchandise

A Decorah business has begun selling "Iowa Driftless" trout shirts and hats.

Shirley Vermace, owner of the new business Everything Decorah, has developed a line of Iowa Driftless Trout Fishing merchandise for the avid anglers who live in and visit NE Iowa.

The front of the trout t-shirt has a small logo on the left chest area that says, "NE Iowa's Holy Trinity - Bear, Waterloo, French," referring to the best three trout streams of our region, known as the "Holy Trinity" by avid anglers.  The back of the trout t-shirt lists all 18 of the streams available for trout fishing in the Iowa Driftless region.  
 
Vermace says she hopes that trout anglers use the t-shirt as a "bucket list," checking off each trout stream as they fish it. 

The trout ball cap features the same "Holy Trinity" image, embroidered on the front of an earthy green cap. 

All of the trout merchandise is available to purchase through www.everythingdecorah.com and also at a few area retailers including ACE Kitchen Place, Donlon Healthmart Pharmacy, Decorah Chick Hatchery, and Luther College Bookstore. 

A percentage of proceeds from the trout shirts and hats (and all other merchandise at Everything Decorah) goes to support Friends of Decorah Fish Hatchery and their work to protect NE Iowa's trout streams and trout habitats.
