Fate of new WMC Clinic in Ossian should be known by early fall

Winneshiek Medical Center administrators continue to meet with Ossian community residents to discuss opening a WMC clinic in Ossian.

A petition with 850 signatures was presented to the hospital's Board of Trustees earlier this year after Gundersen Health Systems closed its Ossian clinic with the retirement of Dr. Ignatius Greene.

WMC Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff says the hospital has completed its preliminary financial analysis of a new clinic and will meet again with the Ossian group to discuss the report.

Hospital officials say they need to answer some questions about which building could be used for a clinic in Ossian.
