NEICAC is offering help to flood victims

Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation is offering help to flooding victims in In Winneshiek, Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette and Chickasaw counties.  The agency is administering the Iowa Department of Human Services Individual Assistance Program. 

Residents of the five counties, which have all been declared disaster areas because of flooding, need to contact their NEICAC Family Service Office to submit an application for assistance.  In Winneshiek County that would be NEICAC Winneshiek County Family Service Specialist Joan Nelson at the Smith Building located at 305 Montgomery in Decorah.  The NEICAC Winneshiek County Family Service Office is open from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and at other times by appointment.  Contact the Family Service Office at (563) 382-8436, extension 150.
