Decorah's Don Johnson picks up his check for $1.4 million

80-year-old Don Johnson of Decorah easily handled all of the attention Wednesday afternoon when he stopped in at the Iowa Lottery office in Des Moines to pick up a check for $1,400,000.00.

Johnson told the audience he's the original Don Johnson, not that actor by the same name.  He promised that winning a large lottery prize won't change his life.  That could mean he will keep walking to the Casey's store on College Drive, as he did when he bought the winning ticket.  "I just bought it before the storm started in that day.  I thought I might as well go out and do something for a little bit."

As he was about to get the money, Johnson turned to his daughter, laughed and said, "Let's get the check and go!"
