Efforts begin to help Waukon recover from flooding

While flooding did significant damage in Decorah and Winneshiek County over the weekend, the damage done here was dwarfed by the problems in Waukon and Allamakee County.

The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce has begun organizing an effort to help the people of Waukon.  The Chamber collected donations of buckets, sponges, bleach and sanitizing cleaners and mops on Tuesday and delivered them Tuesday afternoon.  Donations of gloves, hand sanitizer and baby wipes have already been received in Waukon.


The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce says any donation is greatly appreciated.
