Skin specialist begins work at Winneshiek Medical Center

Mayo Clinic Health System skin care specialist Dr. James Ott is returning to Decorah.

Dr. Ott practiced family medicine in Decorah from 2002 through 2005.  He then moved to the Mayo Clinic Health System clinic in Albert Lea, Minnesota and began his training in treating skin disorders and conditions.  Beginning in July he will return to Decorah.

Dr. Ott has admitting privileges to the dermatology center at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, which means patients with complex skin care needs can have all pre-procedure work done in Decorah, go to Rochester for their procedure, and receive follow up care back in Decorah.

Dr. Ott will work collaboratively with ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. William Remington to provide comprehensive care for many patient concerns, like skin cancer of the head and neck.
