The Upper Iowa River in Decorah is expected to crest late Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse is predicting dry conditions Sunday night and Monday morning.  Emergency government officials will continue to monitor the situation over the next 3-4 days--especially if more rain is in the forecast.

Emergency government officials say there are some homeowners who have been trapped in their homes on dead end streets because of the flooding, but police know about the situations and would be able to reach the homeowners in an emergency.

There are some roads and bridges within Winneshiek County that are impassable or damaged.  If barricades are in place, please obey them.
