Should the North Winneshiek School District continue its 9th through 12th grade sharing program with the Decorah School District?  The current contract between the two school district ends in 2017.

The Iowa Department of Education, as a follow-up to its site visit last at North Winneshiek done last November, is requiring that North Winn look at the school district's future financial feasibility.  North Winn Superintendent Tim Dugger says the State of Iowa makes the requirement of every small school district in the state.

After last November's site visit, the Iowa Department of Education followed up this spring with a feasibility study for North Winneshiek that looked at enrollment and financial trends.  It also laid out options for the school district.

Says Dugger, "The North Winneshiek School Board now will be assessing the options the feasibility study suggested in order to keep giving our students the same quality education that they maintaining currently."
