NorthLand Area Agency on Aging will merge with two other organizations July 1st

Northland Area Agency on Aging in Decorah will merge with Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging in Waterloo and Scenic Valley Area Agency on Aging in Dubuque on July 1st.

The new agency will be called "Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging," or "NEI3A" for short.  The merger comes after the Iowa Legislature passed a mandate to reduce the number of Iowa's Area Agencies on Aging from 13 to six.

Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging will be serve Winneshiek County and 17 other counties in Northeast Iowa--Allamakee, Blackhawk, Bremer, Butler, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Grundy, Hardin, Howard, Jackson, Marshall, Tama and Poweshiek.
