You might have noticed it's been raining a little bit this spring and summer.
The weather has affected the scheduling of the "Talking Trees" project at Seed Savers Exchange north of Decorah. The outdoor music and art display was supposed to run in May, but its run was extended through the end of June because of the wet weather.
"Talking Trees" consists of four metal tripod structures which have speakers that play a mixture of nature sounds and music created by Luther College composer-in-residence Brooke Joyce. The work was funded by a grant form the Iowa Arts Council.
The art installation plays music from 9:00 a.m until 7:00 p.m. daily, through Sunday. It will be disassembled at Luther College early in July, then put up at Luther College for two weeks at the end of August.
