Iowa Public Television program features Oneota Food Co-op chef

Oneota Community Food Co-op Cafe Manager and Chef Mattias Kriemelmeyer is now a TV star.  Kriemelmeyer was featured in the latest episode of Iowa Public Television's series "Iowa Ingredient."

IPTV began filming for this episode last fall.  The episode focuses on the Oneota Community Food Co-op in Decorah and on the Rolling Hills greenhouse in West Union.

Kriemelmeyer uses fresh basil, cilantro, thyme and several other herbs to make Rosemary and Thyme Chicken, Five Herb Pesto and Penne Pasta, and Herbal Salad with Mint Vinaigrette and Goat Cheese.  Said Kriemelmeyer, "I am passionate about local, sustainable foods and I enjoyed the opportunity to share some easy and delicious ways to use my favorite local herbs."
