Hospital had a good April financially

Winneshiek Medical Center showed a net gain of $154,598 in April on total patient service revenue of $6,960,304.

Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff says the profitable April was the result of lower-than-budgeted expenses and an increase in patient numbers in several departments.

For the fiscal year of July 1st, 2012 through April 0, 2013, Winneshiek Medical Center has shown an operating gain of $1,159,046.
