New positions announced in Decorah Schools

Superintendent Mike Haluska has announced several new positions in the Decorah Community Schools.  As reported last month by decorahnews.com, funding for the positions was available because of a sharing agreement with Allamakee School for a Curricular Coordinator. That position has now been hired. A new Reading Coach has also been hired who will "coach teachers" in the implementation of a new reading series. Haluska hopes to hire a person next year to help teachers integrate technology efforts into classrooms.
