Ironically, Decorah weather statistics are temporarily not being recorded--because of bad weather

Decorah weather statistics have been missing for several days from the National Weather Service La Crosse Office's website.

NWS official Todd Shea says the statistics were lost when the Decorah weather radio station took a lightning strike from the storms last week. 

The Iowa Department of Transportation maintains most of the Weather Service's Iowa sites.  DOT officials have told Shea they have ordered replacement parts.  The DOT says it hopes to have the data flowing again in roughly one week.
