Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz has released additional information about weather in Decorah in May:

--Total precipitation for May of 2013 was 10.35 inches, which was 6.15 inches more than average.

--There were 16 days with measurable precipitation. The average number is 11 or 12.

The greatest 24-hour precipitation total during May was 2.59 inches on May 30th.
