Three new bike racks are going up in downtown Decorah

This bike rack has been installed on Winnebago Street, near Water Street

City of Decorah officials have also tentatively approved plans to install a bike rack in the first parking spot on the west side of Winnebago Street, south of Water Street, and somewhere in the city-owned parking lot next to the NE Iowa Montessori School.

The board of the Self-Supporting Municipal Improvement District (SSMID) has pledged a donation of $1,000 toward the cost of additional bike racks.
