Hannah Lee Chapter of DAR receives staewide recognition

Hannah Lee Chapter members Wendy Novak of Decorah, Rebecca McCabe of Cresco, Mona Day of Lansing, Carol Hasvold of Decorah and Virginia Larimer of Oelwein, who were recognized at the recent Iowa State DAR Conference for outstanding achievement

The Hannah Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and several chapter members have received awards from the State DAR.

Individuals recognized were:  Mona Day for Service to Chapter, Beverly Gruhn for Fiber Arts and Sculpture, Carol Hasvold for Historic Preservation, Virginia Larimer Service to Chapter, Rebecca McCabe for Service to Chapter and Wendy Novak for 1st Place in American Heritage Machine Quilting Table Runner and Service to Chapter. 

The chapter received awards for Outstanding Work in Conservation, Accomplishments in Literacy Promotion, Most Minutes in Broadcast Coverage, 100 percent Participation in the President General's Project, Honorable Mention for Print Coverage and the Gold Award for overall chapter achievement.
