Decorah Fire Department called to house on East Broadway

The Decorah Fire department was called to 606 East Broadway at 3:25 Wednesday afternoon for a report of smoke in the house.

When the firefighters arrived at the house, they discovered a Decorah Police officer had already removed a cooking pot from the residence.  No fire damage to residence was reported.  Firefighters removed the smoke from the house.

The Fire Department was assisted by the Decorah PD and the Winneshiek County Ambulance Service.
