After one round of thunderstorms Wednesday, Winneshiek County could receive more widespread showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday. Some of those thunderstorms could be strong to severe on Thursday.
The National Weather Service Office in La Cross says additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible through the end of the week.
Those living in low-lying and poor drainage areas, especially along any river or stream, should closely monitor the weather. There could be a few secondary road closures due to high water.
