The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa and the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program of Northeast Iowa have merged. SNAP will now be operating as part of HSNEI.
SNAP is based in Cresco, while HSNEI serves a five county NE Iowa area, including Cresco.
SNAP president Deb Morris says, "We are enthusiastic about merging with such a reputable, structured organization as HSNEI. We look forward to working together to make a difference in the lives of the animals in NE IA."
Since the groups have common goals and serve similar areas, working together makes sense. says HSNEI president Kim Powell. "SNAP has done wonderful work with their spay/neuter program and HSNEI is excited to use their experience and expertise to help more animals in NE Iowa."
