City council will appoint a new Second Ward City Council representative

The Decorah City Council will vote June 3rd to select someone to fill the unexpired term of Second Ward City Council Representative Julie Fischer.  Fischer resigned earlier this month when she moved out of the district.

Two people have already indicated an interest in the position.  The opening will be advertised, with an application deadline of May 31st.  Applicants should sent a resume to the City Clerk's Office.
