The 5th anniversary of the ICE raid on Agriprocessors in Postville has just occurred.  Materials from the raid--and the larger story of Postville--are being saved, thanks to the efforts of Luther College and the University of Northern Iowa.

"The PostvilleProject: Documenting a Community in Transition" is a digitalarchive that makes public the collections of materials that have been createdto document the immigration raid and the larger Postville story.

Presently, the project holds 17 collections, 12 of which are currently displayed on theproject website. Archiving of physical materials is focused at the Luther CollegeArchives and maintenance of digital resources is held primarily at UNI. Thecollections contain mixed media materials from sources such as the state ofIowa Attorney General's office, the Iowa Department of Labor, theWaterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, Sister Mary McCauley, the Decorah Area FaithCoalition, the Postville Response Coalition, Argueta and several localcommunity members.
