Decorah teachers to get new iPads

On Monday night the Decorah Community School Board approved the purchase of 150 iPads for teachers in the district. The total cost is $91,350.  The board was readily convinced regarding the educational utility of the devices by Kurt DeVore, Director of Technology.  They will later review a proposal for Apple trainers to provide training in January for the teachers. The board could not act on the training proposal at the Monday night meeting because that information had not been received soon enough for it to be included on the agenda.
