North Winneshiek School Board handles personnel matters

The North Winneshiek School Board took action Monday on a number of personnel matters.

The board approved the master contract for the 2013-2014 school year.  The teachers received a 3.59 percent total package increase, with a new base salary of $30,100. 
 
The board also approved a 3.59 percent salary increase for support staff for next school year.  The support staff includes secretaries, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, associates, and a nurse.  The percent increase is the same as what the teachers received.
 
Superintendent/Principal Tim Dugger will receive a 3 year contract extension and a 3.59 percent salary increase for the 2013-2014 school year.  His salary for next year will be $95,750.20.
 
The board approved a summer recreation director's contract for Matt Amundson.  He will be paid $2,500 for this position. The  board also approved Matt Amundson for the 2013-2014 athletic directors' position with a salary of $2,500.  Matt will also teach 4th grade next year.   
 
The board approved extra duty contract for Lisa Barth as the district's curriculum leader.  She will be paid $2,000 for this position.  Lisa also teaches 3rd grade. 
 
The board approved an extra duty contract for Kris Bigler as the district's testing coordinator/data leader. She will be paid $2,000 for this position.  Kris also teaches 5th grade
