Winneshiek County residents get NICC scholarships

13 Winneshiek County residents earned scholarships from NICC for the spring semester to help them attend classes at the NICC Calmar campus.

Jenna McIntyre of Decorah, a nursing student, earned a Presidential Scholarship. She is the daughter of Don and Paula McIntyre of Decorah.

Deneen Nagel of Decorah, an Associate of Applied Science-Business Specialist student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship.

Nicole Marie Poirier of Decorah, a nursing student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship. She is the daughter of Tom and Diane Poirier of Decorah.

Adam Daniel Sacquitne of Decorah, an Ag Studies student, earned an NICC Staff Scholarship. He is the son of Mary and Dave Sacquitne of Decorah.

Christina Sullivan of Decorah, a Cosmetology student, earned a Blanche J. Hendren Cosmetology Award. She is married to Charles Sullivan and the couple has five children: Cameron, Braxton, Atlynn, Destiny and Weston.

Trinna Lee Sweet of Decorah, a Health Information Technology student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship.

Amy Thompson of Decorah, a Cosmetology student, earned a Blanche J. Hendren Cosmetology Award.

Paula Womeldorf of Decorah, a nursing student, earned a Sherman Oyen Endowed Scholarship. She is married to Brian Womeldorf and the couple has three children, Sebastian Torres, and Emily and Grace Womeldorf.

Bronson Chevalier of Calmar, an Industrial Electrician student, earned an American Legion of Iowa Foundation Scholarship and an Oliver Merrill Memorial Scholarship. He is married to Jaymee Chevalier and the couple has a child, Madelynn.

Annie Tollefson of Calmar, an Associate of Arts-Human Services student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship and a Darwin and Barbara Schrage Scholarship.  

Laurie Nelson of Calmar, an Associate Degree Nursing student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship.

April Marie Quandahl of Ossian, a nursing student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship and a C & G Vending Scholarship. She is the daughter of Quentin and Mary Quandahl of Ossian.

Sterling Shatek of Fort Atkinson, an Associate of Arts-Business Administration student, earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship. He is the son of Allan and Barb Shatek of Fort Atkinson.

Jennifer Engelhardt of Ridgeway, an Associate of Arts-Human Services and Associate of Arts-Criminal Justice student earned an NICC Foundation Scholarship. She is the daughter of the late Don Vick and Ila Mae Vick. She and her husband, Don Engelhardt, have two children, Austin and Kandace.
