Eight are vying for the "honor" of kissing a pig

The American Cancer Society's chapters in Winneshiek County and Chickasaw County are holding a "Kiss a Pig" contest to raise money.  E

ight contestants are vying for the chance to "win" a kiss with a pig by collecting the highest amount of donations for the American Cancer Society.  KVIK's Nell Halverson, Decorah Bank & Trust's Ben Grimstad, Rockweiler Appliance's Dean Rockweiler, Decorah Chevrolet-Cadillac's Kelly Bachelder, Lynch Livestock's Gary Lynch, NICC's Dr. Liang Chee Wee, Farmers Mill of Protivin's Dennis Meirick and Citizens Savings Bank's Gerry Weiand will get one vote for each $1 donated to the Cancer Society.

The "winner" will be announced at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 10th, in the KVIK-FM parking lot in Decorah, the trophy awarded and the pig kissed.  A free will donation lunch by Lynch BBQ will be available from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
