Decorah getting closer to hiring a Park-Rec Director

The search for a new Decorah Parks and Recreation Director has been narrowed to four finalists.

City Administrator Chad Bird says over 30 applications were received for the position, including some from Flordia, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky.  Four of those candidates will be interviewed next week--two during on-site visits and the Florida and Idaho candidates via Skype.

Bird says a selection could be made in the next week or two, with the new Park-Rec Director's start dating dependent on their current employment situation.
