Fort Atkinson woman is named grand prize winner of "Live Healthy Iowa"

Winneshiek Medical Center employee Mary Lou Hackman of Fort Atkinson has been chosen as the grand prize winner of the 2013 Live Healthy Iowa 10-Week Wellness Challenge.

The 34-year employee in the Health Information Management Department (medical records) received her prize--a tropical cruise for two--Thursday afternoon at the hospital.

Nearly 9,000 Iowans participated in and completed the 2013 Live Healthy Iowa 10-Week Wellness Challenge.  The wellness campaign has been operated for 12 years in Iowa and Hackman has participated every year the campaign has been active in Decorah.

Hackman says she was just reading a brochure about tropical cruises and thinking how nice it would be to go on one.  There is one complication, however--she says her husband doesn't like being on the water!
