Nordic Fest looking for nominations for Flag Recipient and Grand Marshal

The Nordic Fest Board of Directors is asking the community for nominations for Grand Marshal and Nordic Fest Flag Recipient for the 47th Annual Nordic Fest. The theme for this year is "All Trails Lead to Nordic Fest."  Nordic Fest will be held July 25th to the 27th.

The Grand Marshal is recognized as an individual or group who has made a positive impact on the Decorah community.

The Flag Recipient is presented to someone who's long-time, above and beyond efforts have specifically impacted Nordic Fest.

The honorees will be recognized at opening ceremonies, will ride in the grand parade and their stories will be printed in the Fest's official program guide.

Letters of recommendation are due Fri. May 10 and must be mailed to Fest headquarters, 507 W. Water St., Decorah, IA 52101.
