It's little. It's free. It's a library. It's "The Little Free Library" at 406 Mound Street in Decorah.
The program began in 2009 in the Midwest when people began constructing small wooden boxes on posts that held books. The books could be taken for free. People need not leave a book when they take one. Its all about community as is explained on the organization's website, http://www.littlefreelibrary.org/
Decorah resident Ellen Macdonald heard about the idea and liked it--so Decorah now has its first "Little Free Library."
