Decorah Viking football players drive home the point: Don't text while driving

How distracting is it to text while driving?  The average driver takes their eyes off the road for 5 to 7 seconds.  At 55 mph, it's like driving the length of a football field blind. 

To bring home that point, Decorah Viking football players tried to run a play blindfolded.  Teachers were lined up on defense--and Brad Johansen intercepted the pass. 

The "X the Text" campaign will run for three months.
