Gundersen Lutheran among top 10 percent nationally for patient experience

Healthgrades has named Gundersen Lutheran a recipient of the 2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™.

The award is given to medical centers who place among the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation.  Hospitals are recognized for outstanding performance in providing a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay.

Healthgrades' overall patient experience methodology evaluates Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems hospital survey data collected from the federal government.

To be eligible, Gundersen Lutheran had to meet the clinical quality threshold for the award as well as have data for a minimum number of HCAHPS surveys.
