Calmar woman ticketed following two-car accident

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department has issued a traffic citation to a Calmar woman following a two-car accident on Highway 139 around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say 46-year-old Kristine Humpal of Calmar struck the rear of a car driven by Jacklyn Meyer of Cresco when Meyer slowed down because a pheasant crossed in front of her car.

Neither driver was injured in the accident.
