Decorah Mayor Don Arendt will sign the Statement of Principles issued by the group Mayors Against Illegal Guns

Decorah Mayor Don Arendt says he will sign the Statement of Principles issued by the group Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Arendt would thus join mayors from Des Moines, Davenport, Iowa City and Waterloo in signing the statement.

Decorah City Council member Julie Fisher had seen the statement on the Internet and then contacted Arendft about adding his name to the list of signatories.  Arendt said Monday night that he has agreed to the request.
