Five Envirothon teams from Decorah High School recently competed in the regional Envirothon contest held at the Kirkwood campus in Iowa City with a trip to the state meet at stake.  Four teams from Decorah scored high enough to qualify for the state meet based on their regional scores.  However, due to past success by Decorah, the "Decorah Rule" was put in a few years ago that limits a school to only two teams participating at the
state meet.

So the two teams that will represent Decorah April 15th at Springbrook State Park near Guthrie Center are "Supafly" (Claire Breitenstein, Emily Alcock, Mitch Burggraf, Gavin Nimrod and Josie Jewell), which earned the top score on the Aquatics test, and "Eagles," (Hannah Rooney, Rebecka Green, Devvin Schroeder, Daiton Tietz and Parker Fretheim), which earned the top score on the Wildlife test.
