Registration has begun for a class designed to teach participants how to harness the power of the LinkedIn website, the world's largest professional network.
"Linked In for Business" will be offered from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3rd, in room 107 of the Wilder Business Center at the NICC Calmar campus.
Class participants will learn how to create a LinkedIn profile, visit job boards, research companies, stay current with others' projects and establish your company's own web-based identify.
The class will be offered by staff from Iroc Web Design Services of Calmar. Iroc specializes in innovative web design, website maintenance, e-commerce, database websites, Flash and logo design, web banners, SEO marketing, PC/Laptops trouble shooting and server/network installation and configuration.
The cost of the class, which has a course number of 21391, is $30. Participants should bring an e-mail address and password to set up the LinkedIn account. Laptops will be provided for the class.
LinkedIn for Business is offered in partnership with Winneshiek County Development, Inc., the Northeast Iowa Community College Foundation, the Northeast Iowa Business Network, the Small Business Development Center and Northeast Iowa Community College.
