Decorah Park-Rec Director position has attracted a lot of applications

Quite a few people are interested in becoming Decorah's next Parks & Recreation Department Director.

The cut-off date has passed for applications to succeed Rick Edwards, who retired earlier this year.  City of Decorah officials say they received 30 applications in all.

Now a committee of six city representatives will begin the task of screening the applications.  Interviews will then be scheduled with semi-finalists.
