Roger Thomas reappointed to the Iowa Economic Development Board

State Representative Roger Thomas of Elkader has been appointed to serve a third term on the Iowa Economic Development Board by Iowa House Democratic Leader Kevin McCarthy of Des Moines.

The Iowa Economic Development Board is a part of the Economic Development Authority, which works to strengthen the economy and communities by building partnerships and leveraging resources to make Iowa the best choice for people to do business and promote tourism.

The Iowa Economic Development Board plays a pivotal role in transforming Iowa's economy.  The Board is responsible for the review and establishment of procedures and policies for the awarding of grants or contracts.  The Board also coordinates and evaluates strategic planning initiatives to move the economy forward.
